Bill Haas Swing Vision Slow Motion Swing
Bill Haas posted a final round of 2-under-par 69 and won the Northern Trust Open after a two-hole playoff with Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson.
It was a tough day for scoring but Haas played well with three birdies by the 10th hole to tie for the lead. Back-to-back bogeys starting at the par-4 12th dropped him two strokes off the pace, but the leaders faltered in the closing holes leaving Haas a one-stroke clubhouse lead after he birdied the par-5 17th. There was only one hole left for Bradley and Mickelson to force a playoff with Haas. Sure enough, both players converted clutch birdie putts of some length to force sudden death. Returning to the 18th for the playoff, all three players parred to advance. The final playoff hole was the historic, short par-4 10th where all players went for it but failed to find the green. Haas played his pitch to the middle of the green, then Mickelson and Bradley failed to find the green in two. Haas stepped up to his 43-foot birdie attempt and buried it. Mickelson's blast from the bunker to match was well short, while Bradley's attempt from the fringe slid just right of the hole.
