Rory McIlroy Swing Vision Slow Motion Swing - New World #1
Rory McIlory shot a final round 1-under-par 34-35=69 at The Honda Classic to earn his first PGA TOUR win of 2012, and with it the No. 1 ranking in the world.
McIlroy's 12-under 66-67-66-69=268 landed him two strokes ahead of Tiger Woods and Tom Gillis.
Reminiscent of Woods in his prime, McIlroy made a flurry of consequential par putts that included a 13'1" bomb on the second, a 12'1" save on the seventh, and a 4'6" clincher on the 18th. For the week, McIlroy ranked fifth in Strokes Gained-Putting, eighth in driving distance, eighth in sand saves, and tied for 10th in GIR. McIlroy will certainly be an early favorite as he moves on to the TPC Blue Monster at Doral next week for the WGC-Cadillac Championship where he will look to improve upon his 2011 tie for 10th.
Do you ever wonder how a pro would do at your local course. Bombing those long drives at your local Ottawa golf club would be easy for pros like Rory a regular walk in the park.
In the third round of the 2012 Honda Classic, Rory McIlroy hits his tee shot 309 yards to the center of the fairway on the par-5 18th hole.
